    Home foreclosures are a serious problem in Pima County and throughout the U.S. The following resources are available to homeowners during all stages of the foreclosure process.

    Pima County Housing Center

    Homeowners facing foreclosure are welcome to stop by the housing center to meet with a mortgage default counselor or other housing staff who will provide assistance.

    Housing Counseling Agencies (Mortgage Default Counselors)

    Pima County partners with several housing counseling agencies that provide information on financial planning,

    Southern AZ Legal Aid

    A legal aid nonprofit operating in Pima County, Southern Arizona Legal aid offers free services to low-income
    families including assisting families dealing with loss of housing, sub-standard housing conditions, predatory lending, and many other types of conflicts. For information: http://www.azlawhelp.org/ or call 1-800-640-9465.

    Save Our Home AZ

    The AZ Home Foreclosure Prevention Funding Corporation (AHFPFC) is offering assistance to consumers facing foreclosure in Arizona's Hardest Hit Markets. AHFPFC provides assistance in the form of Principal Reduction Mortgage Modification, Unemployment/Underemployment/Reinstatement Mortgage Assistance, Second Lien Elimination.     Emergency Mortgage & Utility Assistance

    The Pima County Community Action Agency provides emergency mortgage/rent and utility assistance, and several other types of assistance, to homeowners at risk of loosing their homes to foreclosure or eviction. Program details available at Community Action Agency .

    Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF)

    The Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) is a federally-funded, foreclosure-prevention program that provides assistance for low-income Arizona homeowners experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19.
