Class II Permits

Air quality operating permits are issued pursuant to the requirements of Pima County Code (PCC) Title 17 Section 17.12.140(B) and include Class I Permits, Class II Permits (issued to sources described below), and Class III Permits. PDEQ also issues General Permits  pursuant to PCC Title 17 Section 17.13.080.

Class II Sources Include:

• Any source, including an area source, subject to a standard, limitation, or other requirement under section 111 of the Clean Air Act.

• Any source, including an area source, subject to a standard or other requirement under section 112 of the Clean Air Act, except that a source is not required to obtain a permit solely because it is subject to regulations or requirements under section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act.
