Flood Control District Board of Directors
The District is governed by the Pima County Board of Supervisors, who are designated as the Flood Control District's Board of Directors. The Board establishes the annual budget, sets the flood control levy rate, and identifies overall policy and direction for the District. The Board also hears requests for variances to and appeals for relief from requirements of the Floodplain Management Ordinance.
Flood Control District Advisory Committee
In 1988, the Board of Directors established the Flood Control District Advisory Committee (FCDAC) with the intent of obtaining broader public participation into the decision-making process. The twelve-member committee is made up of citizens and professionals from across the community and includes representatives for each of the incorporated jurisdictions, Indian Nations and unincorporated areas of Pima County. The Committee makes recommendations to the Board on a variety of flood control and floodplain management issues. The Committee's regular meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of each month.
