The Liquor Licenses and Permits described below are processed through the Clerk of the Board's Office for businesses and events in unincorporated Pima County. All Liquor Licenses and Permits are issued by the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control (DLLC).
Liquor License
Applicants must initiate their applications with DLLC for a Liquor License, to obtain Sampling Privileges or for an Agent Change/Acquisition of Control/Restructure. DLLC will forward your completed application to the Clerk of the Board to fulfill the statutory posting and hearing requirements, and to secure the local governing body recommendation. The recommendation is then provided to DLLC for their consideration.
Special Event Liquor License
The Application and required fees are submitted directly to the Clerk of the Board to secure local governing body approval. In addition to the DLLC fee, Pima County has a fee of $25/day. Upon approval, the application/fee is forwarded to DLLC. Please Review the Special Event Planning Guide for State regulations and their filing deadline.
Extension of Premises/Patio Permit
The Temporary Extension of Premises Application and Permanent Extension of Premises Application and required fees (temporary and permanent extensions) are submitted directly to the Clerk of the Board to secure local governing body approval which requires placement on a Board of Supervisors meeting agenda and therefore must be submitted in conformance with Adopted Meeting Schedule. Upon approval, the application/fee is forwarded to DLLC.
Wine Festival/ Wine Fair License
The Application and required fees are submitted directly to the Clerk of the Board to secure local governing body approval which requires placement on a Board of Supervisors Meeting agenda and therefore must be submitted in conformance with the Adopted Meeting Schedule. In addition to the DLLC fee, Pima County has a fee of $25/event. Upon approval, the application/fee is forwarded to DLLC.
