  • Best Multi-Agency Plan / Coordination 2001

    The Pima County DOT GIS Division won the 2001 Best Multi-Agency Plan/Coordination State Planning Award from the Arizona Planning Association for its entry Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan. The award was accepted by John Regan, GIS Manager.

    The Arizona Planning Association, a chapter of the American Planning Association, is a group of individuals interested in planning for Arizona's future. The membership includes practitioners, elected and appointed officials, attorneys, academicians, and students.

    The State Planning Awards is an award program for recognition of outstanding professional, student and lay contributions to the field of planning. The Arizona Planning Association recognizes and encourages outstanding achievements that contribute to advances in the planning field. Awards are presented at AzPA's Annual Conference
