Pima Animal Care Center and Friends of PACC are looking for more participants in the Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade taking place next Sunday, Feb. 19.

Friends of PACC, which hosts the parade, is hoping to have 1,000 members of the public join in the parade with their pets this year. A variety of pets are invited to participate, from border collies to bearded dragons. As of Thursday, 304 have signed up.

To participate in the parade, people are asked to raise $50 or more in support of animals at PACC. Kids 17 and under can register for free with their families, making the parade a fun outing for the whole family.

The parade route proceed from the northeast corner of Fourth Avenue and Fifth Street and proceed down 4th Avenue beginning at 10 a.m. It will be followed at 11:30 a.m. by the “4 Legs on 4th Festival,” which will take place at the end of the parade route at 4th Avenue and 7th Street until 3 p.m.

If you’re interested in participating, visit petsofpimaparade.com and click on the “Register” button at the top of the page. All funds raised from the event go directly to support pets and their families in Pima County.
