Pima County ITD Geographic Information Systems is presenting classes for PimaMaps, the County's next generation web mapping system. These classes are free and open to both the public and internal Pima County staff. Each class is two hours long. Registration is not required and seating is limited to approximately 30.
2023 sessions:
*** Canceled until County is back to full operational capacity ***
Classes are held in lower level meeting room of the Joel Valdez Public Library, 101 N. Stone Ave. (South of Alameda and West of Stone). These presentation-style classes review the features of the PimaMaps Main Map available at http://gis.pima.gov/pimamaps/.
Although these presentations do not cover potential tools and data layers for more specialized maps that will be developed in the near future, we very much would like to get your feedback on what is available in the PimaMaps Main Map, which will serve as the foundation for future map development.
Each class covers:
- PimaMaps web page
- User interface
- Basic navigation
- Search for map features
- Map layers and legend
- Orthophotos and other imagery
- Map display and units
- Toolbar tabs
- I want to...
- Right click context menu in map display
- Getting help
