Jul 20, 2022 - Former professional cyclist and activist Kathryn Bertine launched a campaign for a Women’s Tour de France from her home in Tucson nine years ago by sending a petition to ASO, the company that organizes the men’s Tour de France. This year, the dream becomes real. On July 24, Le Tour de France Femmes begins in Paris.

Flood Control District begins new phase of Santa Cruz sediment removal project
Nov 27, 2018 - The Pima County Regional Flood Control District on Jan. 8 will begin removing approximately 150,000 cubic yards of sediment from the bed of the Santa Cruz River channel between Silverlake Road and Cushing Street. The process could take up to two months.
