Conditional uses provide zoning flexibility, but due to their potentially adverse impacts, require the review processes established in the Pima County Zoning Code Section 18.97. Conditional use permit applications are reviewed by the Development Services Department and a minimum of one public hearing with neighborhood notification is held. A Type I, Type II, or Type III conditional use permit request will determine the number of public hearings with neighborhood notification. A Type I will have one hearing and be scheduled on the agenda listed below, Type II will be scheduled on the agenda listed below and then scheduled for the Board of Supervisors.
A Type III Conditional Use Hearing will have one hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission and one hearing before the Board of Supervisors.
