Environmental Quality Advisory Council (EQAC)
The Pima County Board of Supervisors appoints the Environmental Quality Advisory Council (EQAC) to advise and consult with the Board of Supervisors, the Department of Environmental Quality staff and the Director in administering
environmental quality matters. The EQAC meets every other month, and consists of members from various segments of industry, development, education, resource management and law who are knowledgeable in the field of environmental protection. Air Quality Hearing Board (AQHB)
The Pima County Board of Supervisors appoints the Air Quality Hearing Board (AQHB) to serve in a quasi-judicial capacity regarding enforcement proceedings and other legal matters required by Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.). The AQHB meets as required to hear arguments and make decisions on permit denial appeals, orders of abatement, conditional permits and hearing board procedures.
