    BeWell and stay well – get your flu shot today

    Appointments available for on-site flu shot clinics

    The County Administrator and several department directors got their flu shots Oct. 7. Have you got yours yet?

    Don’t underestimate the convenience factor for getting a flu shot at an on-site event. It only takes a few minutes to schedule your appointment at a location near you. 
    To better prepare for your appointment and save time:
    • Fill out the Consent Form ahead of time
    • Bring your medical insurance card
    • Wear short sleeves 
    Within minutes you can do your part to stop the spread of the flu.

    Onsite flu shot events are available for all Pima County employees, spouses, domestic partners and any dependents 18 years or older covered on the Pima County medical plan. 

    Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments take priority.

    Have a little fun at the Trick or Treat Walk

    Join the “spooktacular” fun at the Downtown Trick or Treat Walk on Oct. 31 any time from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

    To start, sign in at the table next to the Congress Street Bridge. Earn “Trick or Treat” tickets toward a prize drawing for one of five, $50 Corporate Rewards gift cards! (All gift cards are subject to taxation.)

    Tickets are available for dressing festively, donating to the Community Food Bank food drive, and participating in the activities at each station. Healthy snacks will be available for walkers. Bring your own water bottle to fill at a water station.

    We’ve just launched our new employee benefits portal!

    ADP portal Now you can login to the Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal to:
    • Review current benefits
    • Report a Qualifying Life Event
    • Review progress toward your wellness discounts
    • Update your beneficiaries
    • And more!

    Fall annual enrollment is around the corner

    Beginning Nov. 4, you will have the opportunity to enroll in or make changes to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for calendar year 2020.

    For specific plan details and information, please visit the Benefits website. To enroll or make benefit changes, please visit the ADP Employee Self Service (ESS) portal.

    FSA Information:
    • HealthCare and Dependent Care FSA participation requires enrollment every year.
    • Please note that the IRS has increased the annual limit for HealthCare FSA from $2,650 to $2,700.
    • Unused amounts up to $500 remaining in your Healthcare FSA account will roll over to the next calendar year only if you re-enroll.
    • The annual limit for Dependent Care FSA will remain $5,000 and does not rollover.
    This is also a good time of year to review your HSA contributions and eligibility.

    HSA Information:
    • You can make changes to your HSA contributions and eligibility at any time during the year.
    • If you do not make any HSA changes, your current annual goal amount will carry forward to the new year. 
    • Please note that the IRS has raised the 2020 annual limit from $3,500 to $3,550 for single coverage and from $7,000 to $7,100 for employees with dependent coverage.
    • If you are age 55 and over you may continue to contribute an additional $1,000. 
    Changes will be effective Jan. 1, 2020, and reflected on your Jan.10, 2020, paycheck.
