  • Summerhaven Congestion Management Concepts Study

Project Cost: $50,000 Grant from the Pima Association of Governments (PAG) Project Development Activities Fund (PDAF)
Project Status: Planning and Scoping Study In Progress
    Completion Date: winter 2019
Consultant: Brent Crowther, PE, PTOE, Kimley-Horn

The Summerhaven Community on Mount Lemmon is a popular destination for residents and tourists in Pima County.  The relatively small town center and adjacent street system experiences congestion that affects vehicles and pedestrians alike.  Traffic Action Requests are received on a regular basis concerning congestion and parking issues.

The purpose of the Summerhaven Congestion Management Concepts Study is to identify congestion relief concepts to help mitigate vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle concerns.  Concepts might include parking, roadway or trail concepts that would enhance the area use while relieving current congestion issues.
