    Join us for the upcoming BeWell Annual Enrollment Fairs

    Human Resources staff and representatives from the various plans will be available at the upcoming BeWell Fairs to answer questions and provide information for this year’s enrollment. Annual Enrollment will run April 30, 2018 to May 18, 2018, and is the only time that you may make changes to your benefits without a qualifying family life event. In addition, you can:

    • Certify your tobacco-free status
    • Update beneficiary and personal contact information
    • Increase your Supplemental Life insurance coverage by 1 times your annual salary without having to complete the Evidence of Insurability (EOI) process*

    If you missed on-site BeWell Educational Presentations, you may still watch the recorded video to learn about the enhancements to your FY 2018/19 benefits.
     
    Things to keep in mind as we approach FY 2018/19:

    • Changes are effective July 1, 2018, and will be reflected in your July 13, 2018 paycheck.
    • If you are enrolled in the medical plan, you will receive your medical/Rx combination card by the end of June.
    • If you have questions regarding your CVS/caremark transition, you may call the toll free customer service line at 1-888-202-1654. When you call in, press “2” for “New Member.” Please indicate that you are a Pima County employee.
    • If you are enrolled in the Health Savings Account (HSA), Pima County will fund your HSA on a bi-weekly basis, based on your medical level of coverage.
    • If you are enrolled in Deferred Compensation - 457(b), your deduction and assets will automatically transfer to the Nationwide account in partnership with Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) in early July.

    Don’t forget to certify your Tobacco Free status during Annual Enrollment

    You may qualify to earn $20 per pay check in medical premium discounts just by being tobacco free! Annual Enrollment, April 30 -  May 18, 2018, is the only time you can certify your tobacco free status in order to earn the 2018/19 Healthy Lifestyle Premium Discount (HLPD) #1 – Be Tobacco Free. Set a reminder to log in to the Employee Self-Service Portal (ADP) during that time to review your benefits and certify your status. You must be tobacco free for at least the past 3 months to qualify.

    It’s never too early to start working on the requirements to earn next year’s Healthy Lifestyle Premium Discounts (HLPDs)! Get a jump start on earning your 2019/20 HLPDs by:

    Stay on track throughout the year with the Healthy Lifestyle Premium Discount Checklist. All requirements completed between March 1, 2018 – February 28, 2019 will qualify for the 2019/20 HLPDs. Learn more at the Healthy Lifestyle Premium Discounts webpage.

    Two Wellness Challenges to boost your strength

    The 100 Pushup Challenge and 200 Lunge Challenge are self-start challenges to help you build your strength. 100 pushups or 200 lunges may seem like a lot, but if you’re serious about increasing your strength, follow these 6-8 week training programs and you’re soon be on your way to completing them all! Each program only takes about 10 minutes per day. Visit the webpages to register and receive all of the information you need to get started. Not only can you log your minutes of activity in the Seasonal Fitness Challenge logs, you will also be entered into a seasonal drawing for a $100 Corporate Rewards Gift Card!*
