  • District 4 plans open houses for road repair plan

    Pima County Board of Supervisors District 4 plans to hold four open house forums to discuss the Regional Road Repair Program.Road construction

    The Region Road Repair Program is funded through a 25-cent per $100 of assessed property value tax enacted for Fiscal Year 2017-2018. The Pima County Board of Supervisors created a Transportation Advisory Committee to recommend the priorities for the $19.5 million the tax is expected to raise

    The Committee’s recommendation will go to the Board of Supervisors later this year for final approval. For more information on the Transportation Advisory Committee and the Regional Road Repair Program click here

    Representatives from District 4 Supervisor Steve Christy’s office along his appointees to the Transportation Advisory Committee plan to make presentations at the scheduled open house events. 

    The open houses are scheduled for the following dates and locations:
    • Green Valley/Sahuarita, at GVR West Center, 1111 S. Green Valley Recreation Drive, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m.
    • Tanque Verde, at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde Road, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.
    • Vail, at the Rincon Fire District, 14550 E. Sands Road, Vail, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. 
    • Corona de Tucson, at the Corona Fire Department, 99 W. Tallahassee, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.
