  • Final paving of I-10 ramps at Valencia

    On Monday, August 31, Pima County Department of Transportation, the Regional Transportation Authority and their contractor, KE&G Construction Inc., will be paving the final lift of pavement on the off and on-ramps for I-10 at Valencia Road.

    Monday, August 31 and Tuesday September 1: Crews will be paving the final lift on the westbound I-10 off-ramp and then the westbound I-10 on-ramp. Each ramp will be closed for one (1) day while paving activities occur.

    Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September3: Crews will be paving the final lift on the eastbound I-10 off-ramp and then the eastbound I-10 on-ramp. Each ramp will be closed for one (1) day while paving activities occur.

    The speed limit through the construction zone is 25 mph. Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices.

    In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

    The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) is the fiscal manager of the $2.1 billion plan approved by Pima County voters on May 16, 2006. The RTA Board is comprised of representatives from local jurisdictions in Pima County, including the cities of Tucson and South Tucson, Pima County, the towns of Marana, Oro Valley, and Sahuarita, the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and the Tohono O’odham Nation.
