  • Financial Operations


    The Financial Operations division strives to issue accurate and timely disbursements of vendor payments consistent with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations. Financial Operations provides payroll compensation to employees of Pima County government on a bi-weekly basis, and serves as the central location for processing incoming and outgoing USPS mail and Pima County interdepartmental mail.

    Description of Services

    Financial Operations manages County centralized employee payroll activities; processes County accounts payable payments to vendors; keys County documents; processes travel and petty cash related documents; delivers and distributes centralized internal mail; and stores, archives, and distributes County records.

    Program Goals and Objectives

    • To provide excellent customer service to all customers and employees.
    • To meet statutory deadlines for payroll and employer/ business related tax filings.
    • To provide accurate and timely payments to employees and vendors.
    • To process invoices in a timely manner.
    • To respond to legal notifications within specified deadlines.
    • To adhere to federal, state, and county regulations and statutes.
