    PV Inspections - Effective March 01, 2023

All residential roof-top mounted solar inspections shall be submitted using the Vuspex Offline Field Report (OFR) Process. MPU's, taps, and adaptor installs associated with a PV installation may still schedule a virtual Vuspex inspection for clearance. It will be the goal of Development Services to review submitted OFR's within 24 hours, results may be verified by visiting permits.pima.gov. • Ensure work to be inspected is ready, consult the Inspection Requirements.
    • Make sure the site address is clearly posted.
    • Gate codes or directions may be provided at the time of scheduling.
Remote Inspections On Site/In Person Inspections

Remote inspections may be scheduled anytime during normal operating inspection hours.

    • Site-off-model permits are eligible for remote inspection if the County has an updated electronic copy of the model plan.
    • Older permits without electronic documentation may be considered upon receipt of an electronic scan of the approved plan set. Scanned plans should be E-mailed to BuildingSafetyAdmin@pima.gov with a note requesting the documents be attached to the issued permit. (For files exceeding 20MB in size an FTP site may be needed to transfer documents.)

Note: Depending on size, complexity, and type of inspection, a complete remote inspection may not be feasible. The remote inspector may partially approve the inspection and schedule an on-site inspection, if necessary.
