    A.R.S. §11-1606 Application Process Notice

    Under A.R.S. §11-1606 Pima County is required to give you the following information when you apply for a Home Occupation:

    The following steps are required to obtain a Home Occupation Permit:

    • Provide a complete “Home Occupation Application”
    • Provide all information required in “What is required for submittal of a home occupation permit request” section of the Home Occupation Permit Checklist.
    • Meet all standards of Section 18.09.030 of the Pima County Zoning Code as determined by the zoning inspector.

    Applicable licensing time frames: 5 days for Administrative completeness review and 35 additional days for substantive review.

    Under A.R.S. §11-1609, you may request that the County clarify its interpretation of the zoning code. You may submit a written request that states: (1) Your name and address;(2) The section of the zoning code requiring clarification; (3) Any facts relevant to the requested ruling; (4) Your proposed interpretation of the applicable section;

    You may request clarification or interpretations by the Deputy Chief Zoning Inspector. Written interpretations are subject to a fee per adopted schedule posted on our web site. If you disagree with the Deputy Chief Zoning Inspector’s interpretation, you may appeal the written response to the Pima County Board of Adjustments in accordance with Section 18.93.060 of the Pima County Zoning Code.
