bunniesPima Animal Care Center invites teachers to get a teacher’s pet, literally. In honor of teacher appreciation week, May 7-12, PACC is offering waived adoption fees to those who present their faculty ID when adopting.

“Whether you’re looking for a classroom pet or a years-long companion, we can help you meet your match,” said PACC Director Kristen Auerbach. “We have bunnies, who make the perfect classroom companions, and you could never go wrong with having one of our loveable, playful dogs and cats at home.”

To qualify for the waived adoption fee, teachers must adopt a PACC pet between May 8–12 and present their faculty ID at the adoption counter. This promotion has no exclusions and will apply to pets of all ages at PACC’s shelter, 4000 N. Silverbell Road. Currently, PACC has adoptable dogs, cats and bunnies, too. All pets will come pets spayed or neutered, with age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, and a free vet visit. That’s an adoption value of over $200. A separate $18 licensing fee will apply to dogs.

Teachers who can’t adopt a forever friend should consider fostering one instead. Teachers can help PACC overcome its busiest time of year by fostering a pet during their summer break.
