New ManholeThe Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department has recently updated its manhole cover design standards to include the Pima County dome logo. The Conveyance Division and Technical Services and Engineering Division worked diligently to ensure that the manhole design was aesthetically pleasing and accurately followed Pima County’s high-quality branding standards. This project was in conjunction with the Southeast Interceptor (SEI) Augmentation Project, a 2.6 mile project which upgraded a portion of the existing SEI to address capacity limitations between Simpson and 36th Streets.

The foundries producing the manholes have received the new design and will begin providing contractors with the new covers after depleting the existing inventory. The dome logo design pictured on the manhole covers is part of a larger effort to promote consistent branding across Pima County departments and to ensure the public is aware of the diverse array of services provided.

Keep an eye out for these newly redesigned manholes to hit the streets! For more information, please contact Carol A. Johnson, Sanitary Engineering Manager at Carol.Johnson@pima.gov.
