  • Pavement work on River Road will continue into October

    Beginning Tuesday, September 5 through Thursday, October 5, between the hours of 5 a.m. and 6 p.m., Pima County Department of Transportation will be performing a micro sealing surface treatment on River Road between Country Club Road and Dodge Blvd. The following is the anticipated work schedule:river
    • Tuesday, September 5 through Tuesday, September 12: The contractor will be removing pavement markings, performing crack sealing, patching and other preliminary work.
    • Monday, September 25 through Thursday, October 5: The contractor will be applying the micro sealing surface treatment and restriping the road/adding pavement markings.
    Motorists can expect lane restrictions and reduced speed. Sheriff’s deputies, flaggers and a pilot car will be assisting through the work zone. Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices. Minor delays may occur during this work.

    In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

    This project is part of the $6 million Arterial and Collector Pavement Preservation Program for the fiscal year of July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018.
