    Achievement Award Pima County Procurement Department is pleased to announce that for the thirteenth consecutive year it has received the 2017 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® (AEP) award. Receiving the award validates the professional performance and practices of the Procurement Department and our dedicated and professional staff that strive for continuous improvement for the citizens of Pima County.

    In 1995, the National Procurement Institute, Inc. (NPI) established a program designed to recognize organizational excellence in public procurement. This prestigious award is earned by those organizations that demonstrate excellence by obtaining a high score based on standardized criteria on an annual basis. The continually-evolving criteria are designed to measure state of the art in best practices such as innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement, and leadership attributes of the procurement organization.

    Pima County is one of only 14 agencies in Arizona and one of only 48 Counties in the United States and Canada to receive the award.
