Tucson SaguarosThere’s only one thing standing between the Tucson Saguaros and the Pecos League Championship finals: a best-of-three playoff series against the High Desert Yardbirds, which gets underway at Kino Sports Complex Aug. 3.

The Pacific Division series to determine who will move on to the Pecos League Championship will take place at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, 2500 E. Ajo Way, starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, if needed. As always, gates will open at 6 p.m. and parking will be free.

Visitors can purchase their $7.50 general admission tickets to games one and two in advance on the Tucson Saguaros website or at the Kino Stadium Novelty Shop starting at 4 p.m. each day.

During the series, Kino Stadium will offer food specials, including $1 beers and sodas Thursday night and $1 hot dogs on Friday.

Before heading out to the ball game, Kino Stadium officials encourage the public to read its Clear Bag Policy, which will be strictly enforced. Approved items include clear tote bags (no larger than 12”x6”x12”), clutch purses (no larger than 4.5”x5”), one-gallon freezer bags, diaper bags, and one sealed water bottle per person. For additional details or to discuss special accommodations, call Kino Sports Complex at (520) 724-5466.

In the event of inclement weather, Stadium officials may postpone or cancel the games. Check the Kino Sports Complex Facebook page for the latest information.

The winner of the Pacific Division will advance to the Pecos League Championship series, scheduled for later this month. For more details, visit the Pecos League website.
