christmas catThis holiday season, Pima Animal Care Center invites you to give someone the gift of unconditional love by adopting a pet from its shelter, which is now open for adoptions. Starting Black Friday Nov. 25 through Cyber Monday Nov. 28, PACC will offer free pet adoptions at its shelter and five PetSmart locations thanks to Best Friends Animal Society and Zappos.com.

To kick off the sale and celebrate its re-opening of adoptions, PACC will hold an adoption event on Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its shelter, 4000 N. Silverbell Road. After the event, the sale will continue at these five participating PetSmart offsite adoption locations:

    PetSmart, 1175 W. Irvington Rd.
    PetSmart, 4740 E. Grant Rd.
    PetSmart, 4374 N. Oracle Rd.
    PetSmart, 3850 W. River Rd.
    PetSmart, 3695 E. Broadway Blvd.

The sale will extend through the weekend and into Cyber Monday during normal business hours at PACC’s shelter and all five participating PetSmart stores.

Whether you’re looking for a dog, cat, puppy or kitten, PACC has a wide selection of pets to choose from and with Zappos and Best Friends covering the adoption fees, all you need to pay for is the standard $17 dog license fee, when applicable. That’s a bargain considering that all adopted pets leave PACC spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and with a free vet visit, too.

That’s more than a $200 value -- and a lifetime of unconditional love -- for free for qualified, loving families.

“We have hundreds of pets in our shelter waiting to find their forever homes,” Justin Gallick, PACC’s director of community engagement, said. “Visit us and we’ll help match you up with one that fits your lifestyle.”
