  • Superior Court plans Court Night for Oct. 18

    The Arizona Superior Court in Pima County, working in tandem with the Pima County Bar Association, invites the public to attend Court Night on Oct. 18 at the Flowing Wells Community Center, 1660 W. Ruthrauff Road. 

    The first session will begin at 4 p.m. and run until 5:30 p.m., the second starts at 5:45 and ends at 7:15 p.m. 
     
    This free event invites the attendee to select from two of three different legal information sessions offered. The three topic areas include:
     
    • Divorce/Child Support/Paternity/Custody, with attorneys Michael Aaron, Angela Hurtado, Lisa McNorton and Juan Perez-Medrano;
    • Probate/Guardianship/Conservatorship, with attorneys Thomas Curti and Carrie Rednour;
    • Debtor/Creditor and Landlord/Tenant, with attorneys Beverly Parker and Steve Cox. 

    court nightFollowing each session, the presenters may have an opportunity to answer audience questions, however, they cannot give legal advice or discuss specific cases.

    Representatives from the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Division of Child Support Services, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), Casa de los Niños and the Office of the Court Interpreter will be on hand to provide information and answer attendees’ questions. 

    Additionally, a representative from the Superior Court’s Law Library will be available to demonstrate procedures designed to assist Self Represented Litigants (SRL’s) in accessing essential forms and valuable information online, using a personal computer.
     
    Spanish-speaking interpreters will be available for the entire evening, parking is free and the venue is located along SunTran’s bus route 61.
