On June 7, 2005, the Board of Supervisors approved purchase of the Belvedere Estates property. This 72-acre property is located along the west end of 36th Street and borders Tucson Mountain Park. Purchase of this property will expand Tucson Mountain Park, protect a scenic hillside, and provide a location for a connector trail from a planned trailhead on 36th Street to Tucson Mountain Park.
