    Compass Affordable HousingCCDHR5002 (“Compass”), an Arizona nonprofit corporation, received G.O. Bond Funds for new construction of a 3-story, 24-unit apartment building, elevator equipped,  located in Pima County District 2 and City of Tucson Ward 5.  Tenants eligibile for occupancy will be low income households (under 80% Area Media Income) with physical and developmental disabilities.  They will receive on-site services provided by Compass partners.

    Total development costs were $3,126,000. County bond funds were 4% of the total project budget and paid for architectural services (7%) and construction costs (93%).  

    All units shall remain affordable for 30 years through a Performance Deed of Trust.  Monthly housing costs shall not exceed 1/3 of the gross monthly household income. Energy Star® applicances and lighting plus high efficiency HVAC systems will result in additional household savings.  All units include ADA features (i.e. roll-in showers).  On-site amenities include a community building, laundry facilities, community garden, courtyard adjacent to apartment elevator, wrap around accessible sidewalk, native landscaping and artist murals on community walls.
