  • GIS Data Products - Acquiring Our GIS Data

Our Pima County GIS website provides a wealth of information about using and acquiring our GIS Library data. About the GIS Library explains more about the library in general.

    Finding and Viewing the Data

    Acquiring the Data

    1. You can acquire many of our GIS data layers in ESRI Shapefile format using the Pima County GIS Data FTP Server.  See Pima County GIS Data FTP Server for available layers and instructions.
    2. You can download Pima County GIS Section-based Parcel Maps in AutoCAD DWG Format.
    3. Acquiring orthophotos and other imagery is handled differently. See Getting Orthophotos and Aerial Imagery.
    4. If you are interested in acquiring our GIS data, please review commercial use definitions to determine which category your data use falls under, i.e. commercial or non-commercial. Note that access to GIS Library data layers not on our FTP server may be limited.
      • If you determine that your use falls into the non-commercial use category, then you can proceed to obtain a non-commercial account for our FTP server. See "Ordering a Username and Password" on our Pima County GIS Data FTP Server page.
      • If you determine that your use falls into the commercial use category, then please review Commercial Use Pricing and email Steve Whitney or call him at (520) 724-6729., to start the paperwork process.
      • If you've researched the above options and none meet your needs, email Steve Whitney or call him at (520) 724-6729.
