This project was designed in phases and delivered as three separate sub-projects: 4JLMID, 4JLRMP and 4JLWST. The project was a public/private partnership with external funding provided by the TMC/Carondelet Healthcare Foundation. This funding strategy greatly multiplies local funding opportunities providing added benefits to the finished greenway project.  The Foundation provided and additional  $478,000 to the total cost of the new multi-use path.

Improvements  include a pathway between Campbell and Country Club and a pedestrian bridge connection across the Tucson Diversion Channel. This portion of the project was designed in coordination with future development plans. The new bridge extends west towards the Santa Cruz River and east to Kino Sports.
A grand opening event was held November 1, 2014, and included a special health fair in participation with our foundation partners.
