    Function

    The Departmental Analysis Division provides Pima County departments with timely financial and policy information and support.  The Division assists departments with financial analysis and promotes financial accuracy and accountability.  In addition, Departmental Analysis promotes compliance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.

    Description of Services

    Departmental Analysis provides financial support by compiling and monitoring departmental annual operating budgets, along with operational accounting support.  The Division, in conjunction with Pima County departments, compiles the monthly revenue and expenditure forecasts with the goal of improving department financial management and strategic planning objectives. 

    Program Goals and Objectives

    • Provide timely, accurate, and reliable information and reports to department management and other users.
    • Compile and submit annual department budget requests by the required due date.
    • Compile and submit monthly department revenue and expense projections by the required due date.
    • Compile and submit department planning and control reports by the required due date.
    • Complete special projects as requested.
